About TLT Summer Camp

The Learning Tree (TLT) offers every July a four week fun filled English summer camp program for children with different exciting themes each week. The kindergarten’s rich summer curriculum includes fun filled projects and activities revolving around the theme for the week which we believe will help in your child’s cognitive, social and physical development.

Our summer program also offers additional activities such as English and Spanish club,  Little chefs, Arts and Crafts, Piano, Pajama Rama, Edu Fun Club, and much more.

TLT aims to maximize potentials and develop your child’s creativity, skills and talents.

Therefore, we invite children from 3-9 years of age to come and join us this summer.

Enrollment is limited. If you are interested, please contact us as soon as possible so we could reserve a spot for your child!

Parents' Opinions / Testimonials

TLT English summer camp was a great experience for the first two weeks of July for Lucija, who had just turned 4. She really loved the program and her new teachers ("tete"), even though she knew only a few words in English before. The program is exceptionally creative, educational and a lot of fun, and the atmosphere is very homey, welcoming and warm which is probably why she needed no adjustment period to start enjoying it. I was amazed how much English she picked up along the way in just two weeks. She also went to swimming school organized by TLT and Yellow Cat and is now completely free and without fear in water. TLT Summer camp is a great option for parents who cannot get out of Zagreb in July and want to get more than what kindergartens offer in summertime, which is usually very basic once most kids leave for summer holidays. We will be back to TLT for more cooking classes, English lessons, Friday pajama rama parties and English next summer camp for sure!

Week 1   July 4 – July 8, 2022
Outer Space and Galaxy Exploration

This year we are kicking off our amazing summer camp with one of children' favorite themes: Outer Space. 3, 2, 1...Blast off!! Join us this week for an outta this world experience! Let your little astronaut explore space, planets, starts, our galaxy, the moon, rockets and so much more! This week’s quest adventure will lead young explorers to dare into the vast space. Our interstellar mission will include a shock full of hands-on activities and science experiments. Stardust lamps, space slime and constellation hunts are just some of the fun activities that are about to set off as soon as our astronauts gear up for this adventure of a lifetime. Not only that, each child will have the opportunity to be a part in creating a spectacular planetarium where amazing heavenly bodies glow in the dark. On Friday, get ready to be dazzled as you walk with your child through our live Planetarium!

If your child loves to cook or you want him to learn about cooking and nutrition while exploring other cultures, this is just the week for you. During this week children will learn about different cultures, their typical cuisine, costumes and fun facts. International Cooking Tour will give your child the chance to use his/her math skills while measuring, mixing and following international kid friendly recipes.
Children will try recipes from Latin America to Asia: Some recipes will be even taught by guests who will be sharing the passion for their own country’s cuisine. Does your child like to draw, paint and do more arts and crafts? If yes, then welcome to our Art Festival Week. Your child’s hands will be busy this week with paints, pastel crayons, water colors, wood, fimo clay, colored sand and dough for various art activities. During Art Festival Week, your child’s artistic talent, creativity and imagination will be enhanced as he further learns the value of color scheme, line, shapes and texture. Art Festival Week will also usher your child to discovery and appreciation of different art cultures around the globe. This week we will take our campers on an amazing adventure where we travel to different international destinations to explore the dance styles and create routines which your child will perform during our Finale Show. Whether your child already dances or is a complete beginner all they need is passion and enthusiasm to get moving and have fun. A jam-packed week of culturally diverse inspiration where we will be creating, prop making dancing and performing!

After-school activities

This summer you don’t need to be enrolled in summer camp to participate in all our popular after-school activities. We welcome students and non-students of TLT!

1. English Club (Not offered)
2. Spanish Club (Thursdays 3:45 pm - 4:30 pm)
3. Arts and Crafts (Thursdays 3:45 pm - 4:30 pm)
4. Pajama Rama Night (Fridays 4:30 pm - 9:00 pm, July 8th and 22nd)
5. Edu Fun Club (Saturday 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, July 16th)
6. Piano (Tuesdays and Thursdays) 30 minutes lessons

Flexible Summer Enrollment

TLT offers flexible enrollment options during summer so that your child can join our daily activities and enjoy summer with us. You can sign your child up for 1 day, 1 week or the full 4 weeks.

Summer Program Particulars

• You can join us for a few days, a week or several weeks.
• Our summer program is for children age 3-9 years.
• Classes are offered for 1, 2, 3, or 4 weeks.
• Classes are conducted in a completely English-speaking atmosphere.
  (Teachers also speak Croatian, Spanish, and some French and Italian).
• We offer 10% discount for siblings (applicable for at least 1 week enrollment).
• Extra activities require a minimum of 6 children,.
• Children do not need to be enrolled in the summer program to be able to sign up for all our in-house extra activities (excluding piano ).
• Tuition includes the cost of breakfast, hot lunch, snacks and materials required for special projects.
• Tuition does not include the cost of extra-activities and entrances to the parks.
